Apostles Update Week 29

Dear Friends,
Namibia and Canada were represented this Sunday with Overseer Tekna Mutumbwa and Overseer Sheddy Mbizvo delivering the Word on Double Impact 8. Overseer Tekna started with “The Name of Jesus”. She hammered home that it is the only name that can remove darkness in the lives of people. She testified that we were not like this, we were in great poverty but when the Word of Jesus prevailed in Namibia, our lives were changed. She ended by saying whatever you are going through -Jesus can touch your life. Overseer Sheddy followed with “Confession leads to Possession” He was emphasising that you have to be truly born again to exercise this type of confession which is “Homolegeo” in Greek meaning to speak the same thing as the Word of God. He encouraged us to speak good things every time we open our mouths. We must talk God’s language and he began commanding breakthrough in every area in the lives of the listeners.
Some testimonies:
  • 5 people in Borrowdale district gave their lives to the Lord.
  • In the UK three people testified that they felt the healing power of God and something shifting in the spirit as Overseer Tekna was calling on the name of Jesus.
  • In Harare since last week the safe at work containing important company documents and keys was refusing to open. When Overseer Tekna started praying and commanding situations and specifically mentioned about someone having a problem at their workplace they claimed it in faith. On Monday, at work they tried again to open the safe and it opened. Glory to God.
We are also grateful for the start of the much awaited International Children's Church Service aka "International Kids Sunday Service". Many children were excited and thoroughly enjoyed the Intermediate and Young Generation sessions with Pastor Madoyo and Pastor Dope respectively. Numerous children cannot wait for the next service. Praise the Lord.
We give glory to the God of our father the Servant and Apostle of God, Dr. Ezekiel Guti for His faithfulness towards us and our nation. We have had a powerful week in the presence of God, members are testifying of the goodness of the God of Ezekiel despite the pandemic. Our main service had 5 adults and 9 children and 1 visitor while Children’s church had 7 in attendance. Sunday's Word was helpful, as we looked at the letter from the Servant and Apostle of God. Our Deacon said if we believe in God and His prophets it shall be well with FIF St. Maarten according to 2 Chronicles 20:20, “Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper”. Please continue to pray for the growth of FIFMI St. Maarten and that we will find favor with God and man for our Church building.
We thank the God of Ezekiel who is continuing to be faithful in our nation. lt has been a blessed week for our church as we had a week of Prayer and fasting . Three quarters of our members managed to fast despite not meeting together but we thank God that they prayed as families. Friday we had a powerful speaker Evangelist Kuda Gwarimbo from Trinidad and Tobago. He spoke a prophetic message like he has been to Guyana and knows the believers. We thank God for the International Sunday. This Sunday saw another service which the parents were asking for the International Children’s Church broadcast. The children were blessed and enjoyed and danced with others, thank you so much. Thank you for your prayers the believers here are protected and safe. Continue praying for our nation and for the will of God to prevail.
We give glory to God for a blessed week we had. Prayers continue to take place in homes and the Pastoral team continues to strengthen the believers online. A terrible storm was predicted to be coming to Trinidad and Tobago, warnings were made for people to stay indoors seeing it was going to cause major damage but through the prayers of the saints the storm was blocked and it didn’t attack our nation, glory to God, indeed He answers prayers. We thank God for the Tuesday prayers which continue to be uplifting. We thank God for the breakthrough of our Friday service which had an attendance of 8. We are grateful for the international Sunday service and a power filled Word from the 2 speakers. Our Sunday service had a thick presence with a potent Word of healing and saw an attendance of 10. The church is being strengthened by testimonies of healing from believers. We give glory to God indeed.
Our father Apostle Prof. Ezekiel has taught us from his books so many things that we can now apply to our daily lives and see the hand of God at work. Members are testifying about the goodness of God working in their business, their family life and all around them. On Tuesday our ladies after prayer enjoyed a wonderful speaker, Pastor Alice out of Barbados.
  • One Lady testified that she was so happy to have found a church family and God has been so good to her since she gave her life to Christ.
  • Another Lady testified about the teachings and how much they have helped her in her business.
On Saturday we had a powerful Nevis Christian Business Fellowship (NCBF) with Elder Lovemore Muchenje UK speaking. Members listened to the Facebook, youtube and audio sermons which our Pastors put on our group forums for the two Sunday International Services. For our local online service we enjoyed a powerful message delivered by Overseer Morris Gombakomba UK. Inclusive of those at the local church venue overall attendance for this Sunday was 44 persons including 4 Visitors. Twin Babies from one of our members were dedicated to the Lord and it was such a special moment as Dad who does not normally come to church came for this special occasion. We continue to pray for our membership increasing and for our own church building.
Punta Gorda - We had a powerful Fire Friday service with Pastor Truth Phiri as he shared the Gospel of the Kingdom with great anointing, with 18 devices online. On Saturday we had our very first Men of Integrity fellowship where we did a barbecue, the Pastor taught on being a real man and 7 men received Jesus There were 18 men in attendance. On Sunday we had a wonderful service and a total attendance of 27, one person received Jesus Christ and declared FIFMI her home.
Mango Creek - We are thankful to the God of our father Apostle Ezekiel, our Sunday service had an attendance of 21 adults and 4 children. During praise and worship there was a thick presence which filled the atmosphere. One visitor accepted Jesus Christ and declared FIF her home. Bible study and Counselling was done at three homes and the Pastor prayed for a woman and she was delivered from spiritual husband. A woman with back pain couldn't get up and was prayed for. The pain immediately subsided and she got up instantly. We thank God for donation of a fan from an anonymous donor. Please help us to pray for a mission house at a suitable price for the Pastor in Mango Creek and for spiritual and numerical growth.
Belize City - We are seeing the hand of God as members are continuing to grow stronger in faith and loving the Lord. After the teaching from our Mother about the right way of giving, we are seeing members being raised by the Lord, some to paint the whole building and to renovate without anyone knowing. Attendance was 56 (41 adults and 15 kids). The kids ministry continues to grow and this Sunday the CE teacher managed to buy back packs for every child who attended. There was joy in the church and many were healed emotionally. A man was dying in hospital and had written and signed his will in the presence of witnesses but the pastor prayed and the Lord brought him back to life. Glory to God.
Eldridge Assembly - The assembly continues to grow every day. This Sunday 20 people attended including one visitor. The assembly also managed to purchase on their own a sound system for their church. God is good. Thanks you for your prayers.
Montego Bay - We want to give God thanks for His continued faithfulness to us. After many months apart, we were finally able to return to the Sanctuary. 17 people attended including 3 visitors and 3 people joined via Zoom one of them being our sister from the USA.
There was much jubilation as we were happy to be back together. People testified of God's goodness during Covid. One sister shared that she wanted to be baptised because she now realizes that this is the time to make it right with God before it's too late. Another member testified that the lockdown caused her to connect and join our online services and her life has been changed for the better ever since. FIFMI is now her church. We continued being fed the Word in the International Sunday. The service ended on a high note as 2 members recommitted their lives to Jesus Christ. Then Pastor Paul Dillon prayed and declared healing to those who were afflicted physically and mentally. Fellowship followed with much singing, dancing and praising the God of Ezekiel for He is indeed a good God.
Portmore - We continue to learn more about the importance of working Missions, while we prepare for working Missions in October 2020. This week we had, Overseer Gloria Odilo (Malawi), Rev. Edith Christmas and Overseer David Guni speak to us. Our Ladies' Tuesday prayer saw 12 participants present. On Sunday, 22 people were in attendance. During our Sunday service, we basked in the presence of God, as the Holy Spirit moved during the service. Due to technical issues we were unable to listen to the International Service message but people had an opportunity to listen after church. One of our Elders testified that she attended church suffering from a severe headache and got healed during worshipping time without laying on of hands. We thank you for praying for us as God's grace continues to abide with us.

Tuesday prayer is important. When we are praying there are somethings that need a strong prayer. I cannot just go to Tuesday prayer and mumble. There are issues, battles that surround the Apostle and Servant of God and those kinds of battles need a strong prayer. What do I mean? They need one to get mad at the devil. When you get mad at the devil that’s when you pray a strong prayer. Our father says in the book Guidance and example of a praying church, “the lesson we learn in this is that sometimes when we pray we do not get an answer because we do not pray strong prayers”.....TO BE CONTINUED. God bless you.
We love you and are praying for you,
Drs Steve & La-Verne Simukai
