Founded by Apostle Dr. Ezekiel H. Guti: Over 60 Years and Moving On

Blind And Sighted Intergration Ministry

“If you hear a knock at the door and open to see a blind person, what comes to mind?”

Purpose:
The Blind and Sighted Integration Ministry is a solid, thought-provoking, and active ministry, currently operating in Zimbabwe, Africa. In 1990, God revealed to the Archbishop Dr. Ezekiel H. Guti that the blind were neglected and rejected in the community, yet God had a special purpose to fulfill with them. With the establishment of the ministry came an opportunity to preach the word of God, and promote the self reliance and success of the blind members of society.

Raising Awareness
The ministry is raising awareness in the community about the strength possessed and the equality deserved by the blind. The word of God contains many references to the blind, most notably in the healing ministry of Jesus. The word also encourages that the community cares for and acknowledges those who are blind, with various scriptures that speak of compassion and care.

"I was eyes to the blind, And I was feet to the lame." Job 29 vs. 15

"Cursed is the one who makes the blind to wonder off the road...'' Deuteronomy 27 vs. 18

"I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, And not forsake them." Isaiah 42 vs. 16

Various Activities:

  • The ministry team and choir preach to the blind & sighted, and also hold crusades
  • The ministry destroys the spirit of inferiority complex
  • Members are encouraged to exercise gifts of the Holy spirit in the church.
  • The church is taught to promote the abilities and independence of blind members

Promoting Self Reliance:

Individuals are taught and encouraged not to rely on begging, but to trust in the Almighty God, and to work for the Lord in all respects, just like the sighted. Members are involved in various projects including vegetable farming, raising poultry, fence making, candle making, and other activities.

Challenges faced by the blind
In Zimbabwe, the blind community is in constant need of compassionate intervention from people like you. Examples of hostility and neglect are found daily with sighted people leading the blind to the street to live a life of begging. Rejected pregnant women are filling the streets along with street kids. Rejection by parents, family members, and society is a trend that has left many without hope, until now. Please do your part in improving these challenges wherever you are. One person can make a difference of a lifetime, and you can begin today by extending your love to the blind members of society.
