Who is Jesus
Who is Jesus:
God, the creator of the earth sent Jesus, His only begotten son, into the world to redeem all mankind from sin. Jesus is the Son of God. Sin is what separated man from God, who originally created man as his own children. Jesus took all responsibility for the sins of mankind upon himself, and gave himself to be executed while bearing those sins. His death which was by way of crucifixion, enabled all who believe in him to be saved from their sins, and be restored to sonship with God. Jesus Christ then confirmed His deity by rising from the dead, and made it possible for us to have forgiveness from sin and a renewed relationship with God.
The Promise:
Jesus said, "...I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10 vs. 10).
When we receive Jesus into our lives we know that we have eternal life.(1 John 5 vs. 11-13). Jesus is the only way for us to live an abundant life here on earth, and receive eternal life in fellowship with God. If we do not receive Jesus' free gift of forgiveness, we instead receive the punishment we deserve for our sins; however this punishment is not God's desire for us.
