Apostles Update Week 38

Dear Friends
Over 300 ladies gathered in Chipinge Province for the Prayer Retreat from the 19th to the 21st September 2018. The Guest Speakers were Bishop Tracy Mutema and Overseers Z. B. Gumbo. The retreat commenced with Faith Clinic as ladies poured out their lives in order to cleanse themselves. Thereafter, the spirit of prayer engulfed the auditorium as ladies prayed fervently for the Servant and Apostles of Jesus Christ Drs Ezekiel and Eunor Guti. Praise be to the God of Ezekiel.
News from around the world
Nashville, Tennessee
At Nashville FIFMI we thank God for all your prayers. In attendance we had 15 people of which 3 were children. Some of our regular members did not make it due to various reasons. Praise God we had 2 visitors who have committed themselves to Forward In Faith. They were so excited to have found a home church. The other members showed excitement as they were involved in ministry duties like MC, Devotion and ushering.
Tuesday prayer was attended by 4 people.
We continue to pray for numerical growth and spiritual growth. Thank you for all the prayers because we are witnessing the answer to the prayers.
St Kitts
The week opened with Pastors visiting and praying for a believer's son in hospital. They also had time to meet some believers one-on-one to get to know them and encourage them in the Lord. The Sunday service was full of joy. We had Holy communion together and the believers were strengthened. Attendance was 18 adults and 4 children. We also welcomed a couple who were visiting and promised to come again. Glory to God. We then had fellowship after the service. We thank the God of our father Ezekiel Guti for continuing to strengthen the believers. Glory to God
The Lord keeps doing great things in Nevis. Our Pastors have been feeding us a healthy diet of Christian Maturity and as more and more Believers come forward to recommit themselves to becoming Disciples of God others are encouraged to turning over their lives to Jesus. Hallelujah! This Sunday 3 more persons came forward to declare their lives belong to Jesus. Members rejoiced. This has been the culmination of a week of continued fervent prayer for protection from the impending storms in the area and the storms of life. God has saved St.Kitts and Nevis once again and we give him all the thanks and praise while not forgetting to pray for our brothers and sisters in other Caribbean islands, especially our FIFMI Believers in Barbados who have been battered by the floods and earthquakes. We had a total of 34 in attendance (26 Adults/8 children) for our Sunday service. FIFMI Nevis is on Fire for God and we are believing God for great things. Hallelujah!
Cayman Islands
We had a wonderful Sunday service with 35 people (27 adults and 8 children) including one first time visitor in attendance. The service was powerful and there was a thick presence of the Holy Spirit. A man gave a testimony thanking God for a new job after a long wait, glory to God. It was all joy after the service as people had a fellowship which lasted for nearly two hours. Thank you for your fervent prayers for the expansion of the kingdom of God.
We want to thank the God of our father E H Guti in Barbados, what a wonderful week we had in Barbados. On Tuesday 21 women came for Tuesday prayer. We saw the hand of the God of our father E H Guti in action. The Holy Spirit took over the service and 2 women were delivered from the evil spirit and one woman received Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour. On Wednesday and Friday most of people didn't come to church because of floods.
Sunday 48 people were in attendance and 3 children. The service was awesome from start to finish. One person received Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour after Dr David Simango preached a powerful message.
There is a revival in Barbados and people are hungry for the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
Another lady was invited by a friend to the church, after hearing the word of God, she said this is now my home. We give all the glory to the God of our father E H Guti for His faithfulness in Barbados.
Greater Maputo pastors, Overseers and Bishops came together for two days at their conference centre Mahlazine. Praying for our father the Apostle and servant of God. It was a prayer and absolute fasting The administrator Dr. John Mangiza shared about the importance of praying for the servant of the Lord and encouraged all the pastors to be geared up for this important event. The first day it was very hot and the second day God brought a cloud above us. Then it was cold and we managed to pray fervently without weakness of the body. Many people testified that we had never experienced such kind of weather in Maputo this season. Indeed our God is a great God. It was a powerful prayer.
We would like to thank the God of our father, Ezekiel Guti, for making it possible for us to have our General Conference from the 21st to the 23rd of September. The church fasted for the conference on Thursday and Friday. Our conference took off with a Holy Spirit session on Friday evening where we had a mighty move of the Holy Ghost and 2 people spoke in tongues for the first time while 9 people were refilled with the Holy Spirit. Saturday service ended with water baptism where 5 saints got baptised. Praise be to God.
To close off the conference, Elder Tatenda Gudyanga delivered a powerful message teaching to the 47 believers who were present on Sunday. This was followed by lunch and fellowship. A few leaders who had gone to the Elders’ house just to fellowship, had a time to pray before they went their separate ways and at this time, the Holy Spirit moved in the house and people started receiving gifts from God. Surely the God of Ezekiel has revived and changed the believers in Malaysia.
New Zealand
We want to thank our father and mother who remembered us by sending the Deputy Secretary General of FIF, Drs Steve and La-Verne Simukai to Upper North Island Region (Auckland). We were extremely excited and overjoyed to have them. The big Sunday was one of its kind. We had an attendance of 84 Adults, 36 children and 5 visitors. 2 people gave their lives to Jesus Christ. We were recharged and encouraged to read and practice the word of God. They ministered to people and Dr La-Verne moved in the prophetic, as she called for people who were suffering from pain in the left arm, pain in the chest and lower abdomen. As she prayed for these people, instant healing took place. Some of the miracles include:
  • A man who had a painful left shoulder and arm received instant healing.
  • A young lady also received healing on her left arm and wrist that had been painful for a month.
  • Here is testimony from another lady who texted the pastor the following morning– ‘’praise Lord, there is God in Heaven, I was healed yesterday. I had pains in my abdomen and chest, but yesterday I experienced the power of God when I was on the floor. I felt heat coming from my head to the toes, the heat was increasing and when I stood up, the pain was no more”.
The service was followed by a Leadership Seminar where leaders were taught and equipped to serve as better leaders. Everyone left rejoicing and uplifted. Upper North Island will never be the same again.

Haggai 1: 3-7
3 Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, 4 “Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this [a]temple to lie in ruins?” 5 Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! 6 “You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, Earns wages to put into a bag with holes.” 7 Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways!
Business interferes with your way of serving God if you don't do it right.
Your gadget is like a drug. Its controlling you. It's not just a phone. God wants to bless you but you need to put Him first. Let not your business interfere with your spiritual area where God wants to bless you. God wants to bless you but you are not paying your tithe. You can't be in leadership if you don't pay tithe because you will discourage other people. I don't have problems with money because I tithe and God gives me money when I need it. Follow tithing like a baby. If you don't do it you will suffer, follow the teaching, follow the word of God. Anything you touch God will bless. God bless you.
We love you and are praying for you,
Drs Steve & La-Verne Simukai
