Luke 10:38-42 

Verse 41-42 “And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” ” 

 Let’s see what the result is of working hard without worshiping. Let’s see what happened to Martha…..

2. It caused her to be angry and she was upset. It caused her to talk instead of listening. This is the danger of working hard and not worshipping. Working hard without time to sit down at the feet of Jesus Christ, creates problems. You can work and work. Haggai says if you forget to worship God, you will work and put money in the pocket with holes. Haggai 1:6 “You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough, You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm;
And he who earns wages, Earns wages to put into a bag with holes.” I’m telling you the truth from experience and from the word of God. 

3. It caused her to criticize her sister who was sitting at the feet of Jesus. When you don’t have the word of God it’s very easy to criticize because you are empty. You are working hard and you have nothing. I’m telling you the truth. You’ve worked hard but have nothing to show. You need time to hear and sit down at the feet of Jesus Christ. You’ve worked 2 or 3 jobs, where’s the money you are working for?……TO BE CONTINUED.  God bless you.
