2 Peter 1:1-11.

We have been saved by grace and God has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him. With all diligence – working hard and being aware of it – we are to add to our faith, add to our salvation that we have received through Jesus Christ.

We need to add virtue/goodness. We are Christians and we need to be identified as such – our lives should show before we speak. Just like it is easy to identify a drunkard, smoker or a prostitute, our Christianity should be easily identified.

Goodness is not a jacket that you put on and take off but it’s something that must grow in us. Goodness doesn’t start at church but at home with your family. Let’s exercise goodness on purpose even when we don’t feel like it – with all diligence. May God give us grace. God bless you.
