The following letter was received from Mrs Mavis Ngorima, to all the believers and the ZAOGA FIFMI body at large:

On behalf of the entire Ngorima family, I Mama bishop Mavis Ngorima would like to extend my utmost appreciation to the Archbishop Dr. E. H Guti and Dr. Eunor Guti, the executive committee of Z.A.O.G.A Forward in Faith, the church body as a whole as well as other ministries for the love, kind words and support post the passing of a pastor, father and grandfather.

We find comfort in the fact that he lived a fulfilled life and was loved by many, just as he expressed his love for others. He will be greatly missed and his legacy will carry on till the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

May God bless you in abundance.

Celebrating the life of Bishop Parterson Ngorima

Bishop Patterson NgorimaMembers of ZAOGA Forward in Faith Worldwide are celebrating the life of Bishop Parterson Ngorima, who went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Wednesday, June 20 2012.  Bishop Ngorima was born on October 20, 1943 in Hlabiso Chimanimani in Zimbabwe.

The life of Bishop Ngorima is a testimony of a man of God who persevered in his service of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Bishop Ngorima began serving God as a young man, and was among the young men mentioned in the book “African Apostle,” who served Apostle Dr. EH Guti in the early days of his ministry.  A veteran who saw the ministry since its first decade of inception, he served faithfully, and witnessed the miracles of God in ZAOGA FIFMI first-hand, and entered into the 2nd 50 years full of joy and testimonies of God’s miracles.

In 1968, Bishop Ngorima became a pastor in ZAOGA Forward in Faith, just 8 years after the official establishment of the ministry.  He later became an overseer, and his dedication and commitment to the gospel resulted in the impact of many souls throughout Zimbabwe. He would later travel around the world, touching lives in nations including USA, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and also in other African countries.

He was ordained and was appointed as a Bishop serving in the office of Archbishop Dr. EH Guti. He was the chairman of the board of transfers which administers the transfers of pastors within ZAOGA Forward in Faith.  Bishop Ngorima was also a member of the Executive, and of the Day-to-Day Board of ZAOGA FIFMI.

A Graduate of AMFCC Bible School, Bishop Ngorima had a desire to further his education, and went on to obtain a doctorate in church administration from Calvary University.

Bishop Ngorima is survived by his wife Mavis Ngorima whom he called “the love of his life”, and his children: Margaret (married to Joseph Mukombe), George Farai Ngorima (Married to Linda Ngorima), Brian Ngorima (married to Phillipa Ngorima), Nyasha Ngorima, Takundandishe (Married to Gift Louis), and Solomon Ngorima (Married to Nyembesi Ngorima).  He was also a proud grandfather, having 11 grandchildren to date: Grace Mukombe, Isheanesu Mukombe, Phillip Ngorima, Esther Ngorima, Shalom Ngorima, Paterson Ngorima, Matthew Louis, Nathaniel Louis, Jajadia Ngorima, Mavis Ngorima, and Brian Ngorima.

Bishop Ngorima Receiving Diploma from Apostle Dr. EH GutiStatement from the Ngorima Family:

We have lost a great man who was a father, a grandfather, and a mentor.  Our father was loving, compassionate, a good listener, and a counsellor full of the wisdom of God.  He not only touched his children’s lives and imparted the great things of God, but his loving arm embraced many people ungrudgingly with unconditional love.  He imparted spiritual and physical wisdom to us and to many.

He spent his life serving the Lord and ministering and his greatest joy and pride was seeing his children also loving and serving the Lord.  He was the family intercessor who prayed for each child and spouse in the morning and again in the evening, calling out their names one-by-one.  Our father was a great asset to the Kingdom of God and to our family.  We thank God for his life, and for all the wonderful people who have joined together with us to celebrate his life.

Funeral Arrangements:

From Wednesday June 20 to Friday June 22nd, services were held every evening at Bishop Ngorima’s residence Mount Pleasant heights, where people were gathering throughout the day until Saturday afternoon.
